Kenya’s tech and data sector employs around 40,000 people today. Within a few years, it could employ as many as 100,000. The industry’s rapid development is why we must urgently answer the question of what kind of jobs it will create and we, the Communication Workers Union of Kenya (COWU-K), are answering that call by organizing workers and advocating for policy to shape the industry as it grows.
