Welcome Communication Workers Union website

We are an Industrial Trade Union movement registered by the Kenya Government. We represent workers in the Telecommunications Industries in the Country and those involved in the Postal and mail services. Currently our major organizations engaged in such services include Telkom Kenya Limited (TKL), Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK), Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK), Midcom Limited, Ison BPO, Fones Direct Limited, Egypro East Africa Limited, and Data Rush Services Limited.

OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
•    To secure complete association, unity, organization, and mobilization within the union for all employees in the    communication sector in Kenya.
•    To act as the normal bargaining agency, protect and promote the interests of its members both collectively and individually.
•    To strengthen the organization capacity, credibility and visibility through education among members so as to play their rightful roles of full participation in the running of the union and the enterprises of their employment.

We wish to bring to your attention that we have held three (3) meetings with Telkom Management with the latest one being on 20th February 2017. During the meetings, little progress has been made and so far the following items have been agreed upon:
1.Burial Allowance - i) Employee - 120,000
ii)Spouse - 100,000
iii)Child - 80,000 All these include Mortuary and Transport cost.
2.Overtime - To be retained as in the CBA
3.Leave, Commuter and House Allowance - To be consolidated as before.
